While it may not always be the deciding factor when selecting the best-fit college, students who live on campus want to know that they will be safe and, if a situation arises where help is needed, that they are able to reach out to the appropriate personnel quickly and safely. Our approach is to work collaboratively with all segments of the community to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and create a safe environment in which our students are able to obtain a quality education.
Lincoln College has established guidelines to make sure that our campus remains safe for all those involved. We take precautions beginning with making sure that keys to the residence halls are only distributed to those students living in them and not granting free access to those who are not allowed. We have adopted the Standard Response Protocol which gives everyone clear direction when an emergency occurs. Students and Families are encouraged to sign up to received emergency messaging from both of our mass notification systems. Omnilert: sends out emergency alerts through email, text messaging or automated voice calls, and Alertus: sends out emergency alerts through the Lincoln College Emergency App. The Alertus APP not only will alert students, faculty and staff of emergencies, but allows them to report incidents to campus safety as well indicate their location if needed. Alertus also will send out alerts over desk tops, emergency beacons, message board monitors, and sound systems.
